David Panagore, key figure in Springfield financial turnaround, will be executive at the T
David B. Panagore, who helped guide Springfield out of a financial crisis more than a decade ago, has taken a top management position with the MBTA. Panagore has accepted the position of chief administrative officer, the transportation agency announced this week. Panagore will report to the general manager, Steve Poftak, and he will be responsible for overseeing the MBTA’s administrative and financial functions, according to a message sent to MBTA staffers. He starts May 13.
