Could Tandem Bagel come to Amherst’s Mill District?
In the fall of 2013, Cinda Jones launched a petition drive to lure Atkins to the Mill District she was developing in North Amherst. Two years later, Atkins North opened. Now the president of WD Cowls, Inc. is hoping to lure Tandem Bagel to the space occupied by Bread & Butter, which will be closing soon. “Maybe if we give them enough LOVE they’ll consider coming to The Mill District! Let them hear the love!!!,” Jones posted on the Mill District Facebook page, along with a link to Tandem’s menu. In an email, Jones wrote, “they inquired about the space and we’d love to host them.” Chris and Andrea Zawacki and Brian and Shannon Greenwood opened Tandem Bagel in Easthampton in 2013. A year later, they opened a second location at Northampton Athletic Club on King Street in Northampton.
