Community Music School of Springfield awarded $50K for special needs children

Community Music School of Springfield has been awarded $50,000 for its Adaptive Music Program, a partnership with the Springfield Public Schools. AMP trains and supports teachers who specialize in teaching students with special needs. With the help of this program, teachers can integrate music and arts into their teaching.  The state budget allocation was supported by Sens. Eric Lesser, D-Longmeadow, and James Welch, D-West Springfield.
