Colvest Group buys former Bill Willard concrete property on King Street in Northampton

The new owners of the Bill Willard Inc. concrete plant property on King Street plan to redevelop the 3-acre site into retail or office space. In the near term, The Colvest Group of Springfield will tear down some — if not all — three buildings, remove abandoned petroleum tanks and improve the property’s appearance. “Our goal is to do some cleanup on the property, it is unsightly,” said Colvest CEO Frank Colaccino. “We need to make that property presentable.” The structures to the rear of the land that were once part of the concrete plant will go, Colaccino said. He and his staff are undecided about the fate of the former office building at the front of the property.
