Colony Club, Springfield institution that has hosted 6 presidents, closes after 103 years

The Colony Club in Springfield’s Tower Square, a downtown staple since 1915 that has hosted six presidents, shut down Monday. “We wanted to cease operations with our heads held high,” said Mark Teed, president of the Board of Governors.”We made the toughest decision of all.” The Club made a major push for members three years ago on its 100th birthday.
