Christopher Willenborg returns to oversee Barnes Regional Airport
Christopher Willenborg has returned to manage Barnes Regional Airport amid a capital improvement plan and reconstruction of a runway. Those changes are not a surprise. When he left Barnes after seven years in 2015, he assumed the role of state aeronautics director at the MassDOT Aeronautics Division, as well as that of executive vice president of Airport Solutions Group. In his state job, Willenborg said he was able to keep tabs on Barnes growth and is keeping on that path of positive change saying, “I was fortunate to have continued to work with the team at the airport and legislative leaders in my role as state aeronautics director.”
