Chicopee receives $526,000 more in federal money to help small businesses through coronavirus pandemic

Business owners struggling with a downturn in the economy and a myriad of restrictions because of the coronavirus pandemic will have another chance to get some help. The Community Development Department has received an additional $526,000 in federal assistance from the federal CARES Act. The money will be used to provide grants to small businesses to help them weather the economic crisis caused by the pandemic, Mayor John L. Vieau announced on Thursday.
