Channing Bete in Deerfield to close; 105 people will lose jobs
After publishing educational pamphlets, booklets and handbooks on a wide variety of health and school-related subjects for 65 years, the Channing Bete company is closing its doors. In an exclusive interview with the Greenfield Recorder, Company President Michael G. Bete announced the family-owned business would close in June, leaving the 105 employees without a job.
