Big Y reintroduces self-service kiosks at Western Mass. supermarkets
Big Y World Class Markets is opening self-checkout lanes in some of its Western Massachusetts stores. The shopper-operated kiosks are now a staple of the retail experience, commonly seen in competitors like Walmart and Stop & Shop, which increased the number of self-service checkouts following a lengthy strike earlier this spring.
