Big Y extends price freeze on 15,000 items to Sept. 2

Big Y World Class Market has extended its price freeze from 10,000 to 15,000 everyday grocery items and until Sept. 2.

Springfield-based Big Y said prices could go down and sales will continue.

“When we announced our first price freeze, we heard from over 5,000 customers who indicated how important this action is to them,” said Michael D’Amour, chief operating officer for Big Y, in a statement.
