Baystate Health set to cut ribbon on new Wing Hospital emergency department in Palmer

The new $17.2 million emergency department at Baystate Wing Hospital is now built, and the organization’s leadership will formally inaugurate the facility during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 14. The 10 a.m. event begins with brief remarks by the health system’s top leaders, followed by public tours. The 17,800-square-foot facility at 40 Wright St. was funded in part by $2.9 million from donations. “The new space includes separate ambulance and public entryways and features 20 patient rooms, including trauma, behavioral health, and other dedicated specialty care areas,” Baystate said in a statement.
