Baystate expands Orthopedic Surgery Center in Springfield in $3.8M project
Baystate Health this week received state Public Health Council permission to spend up to $3.8 million to complete unused space at the Baystate Orthopedic Surgery Center at 50 Wason Ave. The project will create six to eight new full-time positions as it ramps up, said spokeswoman Shelly Hazlett. The project will add two new ambulatory surgery operating rooms and equip seven pre- and post-op care rooms. Work is expected to be completed in January 2019.
