Back to school event to deliver over 2,000 backpacks full of supplies to Western Mass….
More than 2,000 local students will be getting a back-to-school boost in the coming weeks, thanks to a local partnership. The Hampden County Sheriff’s Department announced the upcoming 2018 back to school event Thursday in Holyoke. The event on Aug. 18 will feature 2,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, which will be given out to Holyoke students. Fun activities, food and music will also be included at the event, to be held at McNally Field.
