A playground will be built downtown at Kendrick Park with a $400,000 state grant, according to a statement released Thursday from Town Manager Paul Bockelman’s office. The statement said it is a Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) grant that Gov. Charlie Baker awarded Amherst, and that public comment would be sought prior to building the playground.
