AMHERST AREA CHAMBER TO HOLD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PANEL & RECEPTION

The Amherst Area Chamber presents its first Economic Development Panel discussion on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 4-6PM at The Old Chapel at UMass Amherst. The Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Bobrowski and Vickery, LLC and the University of Massachusetts Amherst and to make this event possible.

There will be a presentation of the State of Economic Development in Amherst by Geoff Kravitz, Economic Development Director for the Town of Amherst, remarks by Tony Maroulis, Executive Director of External Relations and University Events for the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Peter Vickery, President of the Amherst Area Chamber Board of Directors will moderate a panel discussion of our community’s strategic advantage as well as a vision for the future of economic development in the Amherst Area. Our panelists are Ann Burke, Vice President of the Western Mass Economic Development Council (EDC); John Delconte, Professor of Creative Economy and Placemaking at the UMass Arts Extension Service; Jennifer Gannett, Director of Community Development at W.D. Cowls Land Co.; Sarah La Cour, Executive Director of the Amherst Business Improvement District (BID); and Aelan Tierney, Owner & Principal of Kuhn-Riddle Architects. A reception to continue the conversation with appetizers and drinks from the award-winning UMass Dining will follow.
