‘10,000 square feet of awesome’ set to open at Springfield Innovation Center (photos, video)
Delivery crews hauled new office furniture into the Springfield Innovation Center Friday as Kristin Leutz, CEO of Valley Venture Mentors, pointed out all the uses VVM will have for its space in the building, which is nearing the final stages of more than $7 million in renovations spearheaded by DevelopSpringfield. VVM’s Hub for business startups will have “hot desk” — space where entrepreneurs can grab a first-come, first-served place to work — as well as reserved desks, private offices, private phone rooms for making calls without disturbing others, meeting rooms, an auditorium, a shared kitchen and a nursing room. “A new mommy nursing room,” Leutz said.
