Northampton awarded $400K storm water mitigation grant
The city of Northampton has been awarded a $400,000 state grant to design environmentally friendly ways to channel storm water runoff away from flood-prone areas. Mayor David Narkewicz announced the grant, part of the state Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness program’s $5 million distribution to the commonwealth’s cities and towns.
