Baystate Health secures $1M earmark in House budget

Baystate Health has secured a $1 million earmark in the House version of the state budget, which is being debated this week. “This represents an affirmative step in our quest to equalize the state’s commitment to serve the Medicaid population of Western Massachusetts,” said Mark Keroack, president and CEO of Baystate Health, in a statement. Baystate has been seeking money annually through the state budget process to make up for what it describes as regional inequities in Medicaid payments.
