The EDC is governed by a Board of Directors that includes the mayor of each of the region's municipalities, C-level representatives of major corporations and the chancellors/presidents of area colleges and universities.

Board members meet quarterly while subcommittees (Governance, Finance, Marketing, HomeField Advantage, Infrastructure, Government Relations, Tourism, and the Executive Committee) meet monthly or bimonthly to guide every facet of the Economic Development Council in its mission.
